‘Surprised and delighted’ clinical Lead Nurse Sally Ridley awarded Hampshire Care Association’s Blue Rose Award.
Staff from Nightingales Golden Care cheered and clapped for an emotional Sally, whose lifetime commitment to the care of others was recognised at the annual event organised and hosted by Hampshire Care Association, to celebrate outstanding individuals and providers of adult social care across the county.
Dr Hillary Jones presented Sally with the prestigious award, which recognises an outstanding individual’s contribution to the care industry. With more than 40 years experience working in many different areas of health care provision in Hampshire since she trained to be an enrolled nurse in the 1970’s, Sally oversees the care assessment and planning for service users at Nightingales Golden Care. Sally uses her skills and expertise to identify what support needs to be put in place to enable service users to prevent loss of independence or unnecessary hospital admissions and to remain safe at home, living interesting and fulfilling lives for as long as they possibly can.
