About Us

Nightingales was created by a nurse who understood the issues within the care industry and set out to make a difference. She began by founding a company with values that are to not only provide your loved ones with the best possible care but also to keep you reassured that your loved ones are in good hands. We want to take the pressure off all that are involved and help them get back to a normal, balanced life.

With these values at our core, we’ve built a service that provides continuity of care staff and visit times, creates close relationships that you can rely on to keep you informed of any changes, and builds confidence and trust in our carers’ abilities to provide the best possible care.

Our commitment to you and your loved one:

  • Your loved one will be provided with a small team of regular carers

  • Your loved one’s regular carers will only be changed when it’s absolutely necessary. If we do have to make a change, your loved one will be notified in good time who will be coming and what time they will arrive

  • You’ll be involved in creating a person-centred plan of care with your loved one that is built around their needs and preferences

  • You will be kept up-to-date with any changes in your loved one’s plan of care for total piece of mind

A Word From The Founder:

"I trained as a nurse in the NHS in the 70’s, back when bedside manner meant a lot. Having spent over 25 years in hospitals, I decided to move into district nursing so that I could nurse people in their own homes. It was then that I saw the problems people were having with care provided at home and the impact that can have, not only on that person but their family as a whole. I decided to start my own care company to make a difference. Being able to bring those traditional nursing values and being able to support people to maintain a level of independence in their own home is why we do what we do. We don’t plan to be the biggest, just to provide a great service to as many people as we can."
